Whether in a carrier or on a lead, your pets of all sizes can travel on board free of charge, provided you follow a few simple rules to ensure a smooth journey.
All aboard
Pets travel free of charge and without a ticket on the CDG Express.
- If your pet is travelling in a carrier: it must be in a closed bag or basket (maximum 45 cm x 30 cm x 25 cm), placed on your lap or at your feet.
- If your pet is travelling on a lead, it must wear a muzzle throughout the journey. It must travel at your feet.
Guide dogs and assistance dogs travel free of charge and without a ticket on the CDG Express.
Your pet must be accompanied and remains your responsibility throughout the journey. You must travel with all the necessary documents for its identification.
Documents you must not forget
For any journey abroad with your pet, ensure that it is permitted to travel with you. To do so, in certain countries:
- be identified by means of a microchip;
- be vaccinated against rabies;
- have a European pet passport issued and completed by a vet;
- have an up-to-date health record.

How do I buy a ticket?
CDG Express tickets will go on sale shortly. Buy your ticket at Gare de l'Est, Gare CDG, online or via the CDG Express mobile app.
On site: ticket machines, CDG Express kiosks, Open Payment terminals and reception staff equipped with payment terminals are available.
Accepted payment methods: CB, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash (€) at certain ATMs.

Are there toilets on the CDG Express?
Yes, every carriage has a toilet.
Toilets fitted with automatic sliding doors, a washbasin, soap dispenser, hand dryer, waste bin and emergency call button are available on board. Inside, there is a fold-down nappy-changing table.
The toilets are wheelchair accessible.
Can I buy a return ticket if I don’t know my return date?
Yes, the return must take place within 90 days at the latest.
A return ticket is valid for up to 90 days after the outward journey has been validated, for travel in the opposite direction.
