Our trains

The CDG Express trains are designed to meet all the line’s requirements and ensure every journey runs smoothly and seamlessly, and are built by CAF France in Alsace.

Expertise made in France

The CDG Express trains are based on the Coradia Polyvalent range built by CAF France in Reichshoffen, Alsace. They are tailored to the line’s specific requirements, including frequent services, high availability and easy boarding for passengers with luggage. They run at up to 150 km/h and reach Gare de l’Est from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport in 20 minutes, whatever the conditions.

Service you can count on

The CDG Express operates 13 purpose-built trains:

  • 10 trains in daily operation
  • 156 to 420 seats per train
  • 2 trains undergoing maintenance at all times
  • 1 train and driver on standby at Gare de l’Est at all times

Together with the 300 train paths we have reserved with SNCF Réseau for 2027, this operating plan enables us to run nearly 57,000 train services a year and provide a consistently reliable service.

Built to last

The trains are designed to operate for 35 to 40 years. Their modular architecture – including standardised components, easy-to-access technical areas and a sturdy structure – simplifies maintenance and shortens downtime.
We carry out maintenance at a dedicated line-side workshop in Bobigny, north of Paris. This long-term technical investment will help maintain an outstanding level of service day after day.

The CDG Express maintenance workshop

Our workshop in Bobigny - north of Paris - keeps the trains in good operating order every day. It is used exclusively for the CDG Express and carries out routine maintenance, preventive inspections and technical work to keep the trains reliable and available all year round. If an issue arises, the crews can respond swiftly to keep the service running smoothly.
